Dr. Dorsa Amir is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke University. Her work focuses on the dynamic relationship between culture and cognition, combining tools from developmental psychology, anthropology, and behavioral economics to better understand how these forces interact.

ALICE BRIDGES
Dr. Alice Bridges is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sheffield, where she studies animal cognition, social learning, and non-human culture. Her research focuses on learning strategies and the social transmission of behaviour in invertebrates, particularly bumblebees, with a particular interest in how socially acquired behaviours can become established and spread within populations.

Amber Thalmayer
Prof. Dr. Amber Thalmayer is a professor of Personality, Mental Health, and Culture at the University of Zurich. Her research centralizes on themes of personality and mental health across cultures, giving consideration to universal versus culturally specific features.

EDWIN VAN LEEUWEN
Dr. Edwin van Leeuwen is an Assistant Professor of Science, Biology, Environmental Biology, and Animal Behaviour & Cognition at Utrecht University. His research addresses intraspecific variation in the social structures of primates’ group life, with a particular focus on cultural differences in great apes’ sociality.

CAREL VAN SCHAIK
Prof. Dr. Carel van Schaik is a Professor Emeritus of Evolutionary Anthropology at the University of Zurich and a Max Planck Fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior. His research focuses on social evolution and socioecology in primates, with particular emphasis on the evolution of cognition, culture, technology, and life history, as well as their implications for understanding human evolution.
